Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Software Engineering Intern/Trainee to join our engineering team developing a cloud-based oncology SaaS platform deployed on AWS. The platform is used by cancer patients, clinicians, and healthcare providers and operates in a regulated healthcare environment. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the entire software development lifecycle, including frontend development, backend development, cloud technologies, testing, DevOps, and Agile software delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced engineers and contribute to real product features while developing technical and professional skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Software Development: Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining software features and automation tests under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Tools Utilization: Learn and utilize approved AI-assisted software development tools to improve coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and development productivity.
- Development Activities: Contribute to frontend, backend, and API development activities.
- Best Practices: Participate in code reviews and learn software engineering best practices.
- Testing: Create and execute test cases for web, mobile, and API functionality.
- Cloud Exposure: Gain exposure to AWS cloud technologies and SaaS application architecture.
- Deployment & CI/CD: Support deployment and CI/CD activities using GitLab.
- Monitoring: Learn monitoring and observability practices using Splunk, Dynatrace, and Pendo.
- Support: Participate in troubleshooting and operational support activities.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc/BCA/M.E/M.Tech/M.Sc/MCA) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Experience: 0 to 1 year of related experience.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of programming concepts and software development principles.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Kotlin.
- Interest in cloud technologies, software engineering, and healthcare technology.
