Job Description
For the Siemens Recruitment 2026 drive, the company is seeking a Software QA Engineer to contribute to testing Altair SLC, a multi-OS data analytics product. You will work in a "shift-left" QA environment, collaborating closely with Product Owners and Developers to validate new functionality. Your role involves performing exploratory testing and converting scenarios into automated test cases. You will design, build, and execute test suites, ensuring reliable regression coverage in a fast-paced R&D setting.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Testing: Performing exploratory and functional testing in a multi-OS environment.
- Automation: Developing automated test cases, including scripted SAS tests with C++ wrappers, integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Test Design: Designing, reviewing, and maintaining clear, well-structured test cases with traceability.
- Defect Management: Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using tools like Jira with root-cause insights.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with QA CoE partners (Automation, Security, Performance) to continuously improve quality.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in software QA/testing (Manual + Automation).
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of SDLC/STLC in Agile environments.
- Working knowledge of programming/scripting: C++, Java, SQL.
- Experience with IDEs such as Visual Studio or VS Code.
- Familiarity with version control concepts (Git/GitLab).
