Job Description
SiFive Recruitment 2026 is hiring System Validation Engineers for new graduates with opportunities listed in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India and Hsinchu, Taiwan. The position is part of SiFive's System Validation team and focuses on validating RISC-V CPUs using FPGA-based platforms, development boards and bring-up environments. This role is particularly suitable for fresh graduates from Computer Science or Electronics and Communication Engineering who have strong knowledge of computer architecture, logic design, Verilog, FPGA platforms, Linux and scripting. Engineers will gain practical exposure to RISC-V processors, the RISC-V software ecosystem and hardware-software debugging.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Failure Analysis: Perform root-cause and failure analysis across RISC-V CPU hardware and software components.
- Debugging: Use ILA and JTAG debuggers to troubleshoot and validate FPGA designs.
- Hypothesis Testing: Develop failure hypotheses and systematically eliminate possible causes.
- Interaction Analysis: Analyze hardware and software interactions during validation failures.
- Scripting: Create and maintain Python-based scripts to improve debugging workflows.
- Automation: Automate repetitive validation and debugging activities where appropriate.
- Board Validation: Support development and bring-up board validation activities.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Experience: New Graduates.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Computer Architecture and Logic Design.
- Prior exposure to logic design using Verilog.
- Experience porting logic designs onto FPGA platforms.
- Practical experience with Linux-based operating systems.
- Mandatory scripting experience with Python and BASH.
