Job Description
For the GE Aerospace Internship 2026 program, the company is seeking a Software Developer Intern to design and build an interactive Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) software interface. The objective is to encode inspection logic and flowcharts into a reliable tool that improves safety and quality.
In this role, you will build an intuitive interface for authoring and visualizing NDE logic. You will implement rule-based flows, ingest inputs from text and CAD geometries, and map them to inspection logic using data processing utilities.
Responsibilities
- Building an intuitive interface for authoring, executing, and visualizing NDE logic/flowcharts.
- Translating NDE procedures and standards into executable rules and decision trees.
- Ingesting and parsing inputs from text and CAD geometries (STEP, IGES, DXF).
- Implementing data processing utilities for basic signal/image preparation.
- Creating dashboards to present inputs, logic paths, and output recommendations.
- Writing clean, documented code with unit tests and maintaining versioned logic sets.
- Collaborating with NDE/engineering SMEs to validate outputs.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Background: Pursuing BS/MS in CS, Software, EE, ME, Aero, or Physics.
