Job Description
As a Software Engineer at Wells Fargo, you will participate in low to moderately complex initiatives within the Gen AI and software technology domains, focusing on building and scaling high-performance AI solutions. Your responsibilities include designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting projects, as well as handling installations, upgrades, and deployment efforts. You will optimize AI solutions for performance and cost using RAG architectures and LLM orchestration frameworks, identify opportunities for service quality improvements, ensure compliance with security requirements, and collaborate efficiently with globally distributed cross-functional Agile teams, demonstrating a strong understanding of Responsible AI practices.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Development & Deployment: Design, code, test, debug, and document projects associated with the technology domain. Handle installations, upgrades, and deployment efforts.
- AI Innovation: Optimize AI solutions for performance and cost while leveraging RAG architectures, LLM orchestration frameworks, and embedding techniques.
- Process Improvement: Review technical assignments requiring deep research and evaluation. Identify opportunities for service quality and system availability improvements.
- Risk & Compliance: Provide independent judgment regarding given technology domains relative to security and compliance requirements while demonstrating a strong understanding of Responsible AI practices.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Present technical recommendations and work efficiently with globally distributed cross-functional Agile teams.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Experience: 2+ years of software engineering experience.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Python/Java
- LLM orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph
- Frontend development using React.js specific to AI application interfaces
Competencies:
- AI/ML Knowledge: Working knowledge of model context protocols, vector databases, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, and LLM evaluation metrics.
- System Design: Strong experience with containerization, microservices architectures, and semantic search systems.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms like GCP Vertex AI & Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI APIs, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub).
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in a BFSI GCC or Product Engineering organization is highly preferred.
