Job Description
For the Poshmark Internship 2026 program, the CloudOps team is looking for interns to gain a strong understanding of Poshmark’s technology stack. You will learn the fundamentals of Site Reliability Engineering, including monitoring, alerting, automation, and incident response. You will get hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and DevOps tools like Terraform and Kubernetes. This role involves assisting senior engineers in deploying, maintaining, and improving infrastructure while contributing to small-scale automation projects.
Responsibilities
As an SRE Intern at Poshmark, your key responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring: Assisting in monitoring the health, performance, and availability of Poshmark’s services using tools like Datadog.
- Automation: Helping build or enhance automation scripts and internal tools using Python, Ruby, or Bash.
- Infrastructure: Supporting the deployment and maintenance of infrastructure on AWS.
- Troubleshooting: Participating in troubleshooting basic production issues and post-incident reviews.
- Observability: Helping create or update dashboards, alerts, and runbooks for production systems.
- Learning: Observing the on-call process and incident management workflows.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Poshmark Internship 2026, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Targeting 2026 Batch).
- Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of Linux/UNIX operating systems.
- Familiarity with at least one scripting language: Python, Ruby, or Bash.
- Basic knowledge of Cloud Concepts (AWS/GCP/Azure fundamentals).
- Preferred Interest:
- Strong interest in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure.
- Willingness to learn tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
