Job Description
Standard Chartered, a leading international banking and financial services group, has announced its 2026 Off-Campus Hiring Drive for fresh engineering graduates. They are inviting online applications for the role of Apprentice – Technology – Global Business Services (GBS) at its technology hub in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. This 12-month apprenticeship program is tailored for B.E / B.Tech graduates from the 2025 and 2026 batches who are ready to begin their career journey in August 2026.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Project Assignments: Engage in hands-on talent assignments on active business projects.
- Training & Development: Participate in structured technical and domain-specific training modules, future-skills development workshops, and targeted online learning paths.
- Networking & Mentorship: Attend thought leadership speaker sessions and interactive hackathons, and receive mentorship from senior technologists and industry experts.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Candidates pursuing or holding a B.E / B.Tech degree with an excellent academic record. Eligible Batches: Final-year students graduating in 2026 or 2025 pass-outs who are ready to join full-time in August 2026.
Experience: Freshers (0 Years Experience).
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge or project experience in J2EE web application development, including Spring Boot, JPA, JSP, JSTL, XSLT, Servlets, JDBC, JMS, JAXB, and Hibernate
- Familiarity with Web Security standards and Web Services architectures (SOA, REST, SOAP, XML, WSDL, JSON, JSON API)
- Fundamental knowledge of Linux/UNIX environments and relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery frameworks
