Job Description

For the Dexcom drive, the engineering team is looking for a SW Test Development Engineer 1 to ensure the quality and reliability of Dexcom’s cutting-edge software solutions. You will join a highly collaborative group dedicated to validating the functionality and user experience of life-changing medical products.

You will design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Python. The role involves validating configuration, functionality, and user interfaces while working with tools like Appium, Android Studio, and Xcode.

Roles and Responsibilities

As a SW Test Development Engineer 1 at Dexcom, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Automation Scripting: Designing and developing automated test scripts using Java and Python.
  • Verification: Creating software verification plans, test protocols, and conducting software risk analyses.
  • Mobile Testing: Validating mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms using tools like Appium and ADB.
  • Defect Tracking: Recording and tracking issues in Jira and collaborating with developers on root cause analysis.
  • Documentation: Writing detailed test reports and maintaining traceability of test cases.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Dexcom drive, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (CS/IT/ECE or related).
  • Experience: 0 to 2 years of related experience.
  • Mandatory Technical Skills:
    • Solid experience in developing automated test scripts using Java and Python.
    • Working knowledge of mobile operating systems (iOS and Android).
    • Experience with mobile automation tools: Appium, Android Studio, Xcode, ADB.
    • Familiarity with Git, Jfrog Artifactory, and Linux/Mac terminal commands.
  • Testing Knowledge:
    • Experience in Manual testing methodologies (System, Regression, Black box, White box).
    • Knowledge of Defect Life Cycle and tracking tools like Jira.
