Job Description
SymphonyAI is offering an Apprentice Software Engineer position in Bengaluru for recent graduates and final-year students. This role, part of the R&D Development Team, involves working on next-generation Category Planning and Retail Analytics platforms. Apprentices will gain hands-on exposure to enterprise web applications, data-driven solutions, cloud-native architectures, and emerging AI/agentic workflows, contributing across frontend, backend, API, and database layers under experienced engineers. The role emphasizes strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn new technologies quickly. Basic experience in full-stack development or data/ML projects is useful. Candidates should understand APIs, databases, and application workflows, alongside effective communication and teamwork. The apprenticeship provides practical exposure to full-stack engineering, REST API development, SQL, Azure cloud development, data pipelines, Generative AI, software testing, and Agile methodologies.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Web Application Development: Assist in designing, developing, and enhancing web applications using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, and .NET/C#.
- API Development: Develop and consume RESTful APIs.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following engineering best practices, applying object-oriented programming and .NET fundamentals.
- Debugging and Analysis: Debug issues using root-cause analysis and code tracing techniques, analyzing issues across application, API, and database layers.
- SQL and Data: Write efficient and optimized SQL queries, and work with Azure, SQL Server, and Snowflake environments.
- Data Pipelines: Support data pipelines, transformations, and analytics workflows.
- Intelligent Insights: Assist with intelligent insights for category planning.
- Testing: Write unit and integration tests; participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and team efficiency.
- Collaboration: Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives; collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and QA teams in Agile environments.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve frontend, backend, and database issues.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MCA or Engineering. Recent graduates or final-year students preferred.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- C#
- .NET development (strong foundation, OOP principles, backend architecture basics, REST API development/consumption)
- SQL (strong fundamentals, complex queries, joins, aggregations, performance-aware query design)
