Job Description
As an Associate Executive at Syngene, you will support the day-to-day operations of chemistry laboratories and assist chemists with routine laboratory activities. The position is designed for an early-career candidate who can work carefully, follow established procedures, maintain laboratory materials, and support chemists as required. The role also involves monitoring chemistry laboratories during off-work hours. This means candidates need to be comfortable working independently during night shifts and following laboratory safety procedures without compromising attention to detail. Because the role involves handling laboratory consumables, chemicals, and solutions, candidates should understand the importance of safety, documentation, accuracy, and accountability.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lab Consumables: Prepare and timely refill laboratory consumables.
- Chemical Preparation: Prepare and refill chemicals and inorganic solutions as required.
- Lab Monitoring: Monitor chemistry laboratories during off-work hours.
- Safety: Follow laboratory safety procedures and EHS requirements at all times.
- Chemist Assistance: Assist chemists with routine laboratory activities. Assist Chemists during hydrogenation reactions.
- Documentation: Review day-shift and night-shift laboratory registers.
- Task Execution: Execute assigned tasks based on instructions and register entries.
- Lab Environment: Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Communication: Communicate relevant observations or issues to the appropriate team members.
- Accountability: Take responsibility for assigned laboratory activities and complete them accurately.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.Sc qualification.
Experience: Freshers can apply.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of chemistry is required.
- Fundamental understanding and awareness of Environment, Health, and Safety practices (EHS).
Competencies:
- Willingness to assist chemists regularly (Laboratory Support).
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, including night shifts (Shift Flexibility).
