Job Description

This position is for an Engineer in Bangalore, intended for professionals with a four-year degree or equivalent experience and at least 1+ years of software development experience. The role focuses on building robust and scalable software components, participating in design and code reviews, solving engineering problems, supporting production issues and contributing to automation, testing and implementation activities. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in at least one programming language and understand distributed programming concepts.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Software Development: Develop robust and scalable software components; understand technical architecture and design; solve software engineering problems; balance feature delivery with software quality and robustness.
  • Operational Support: Handle operational issues with limited supervision; resolve frequently encountered technical issues; monitor system capacity; follow change and incident management standards.
  • Reviews & Feedback: Participate in code reviews; support design reviews and engineering discussions; evaluate new technologies and provide technical input.
  • Research & Innovation: Contribute to technology research and proof-of-concept initiatives.
  • Coding & Implementation: Write, organize and maintain code based on technical designs; develop high-performance, scalable, repeatable and secure solutions; participate in software construction, automation, debugging and implementation activities.
  • Testing: Support functional integration and regression testing; automate test scripts where applicable.
  • Data Understanding: Understand metadata associated with data sources and metrics.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Four-year degree or equivalent experience (B.E / B.Tech).

Experience: At least 1+ years of software development experience.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language
  • Understanding of distributed programming concepts
  • Familiarity with current and emerging technologies
  • Understanding of package solutions and package-specific programming concepts
  • Working knowledge of domain-specific transaction codes or master data where applicable

Competencies:

  • Ability to develop domain-specific technical knowledge
  • Ability to maintain technical knowledge within areas of expertise
  • Willingness to learn new and evolving technologies
