TATA Communications has announced an exclusive TATA Communications Walk-in Drive 2026 for the role of Junior Customer Service Executive in Chennai. The role involves advising and assisting users over phone, chat, and email, solving problems related to hardware, software, networks, and peripherals using available technology and internal processes. It acts as a liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure accurate and timely resolution of system problems.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Service Delivery Management: Accountable for the seamless delivery of infrastructure services targeted toward international enterprise accounts.
- Supplier & OLO Coordination: Manage Outer Line Operator (OLO) operations and handle direct supplier alignment schedules to smooth out field deployments.
- SLA Compliance: Ensure all core hardware/software validation and installation routines are performed seamlessly to respect client SLAs.
- Escalation Handling: Initiate structured escalation mitigation loops whenever project or provisioning timelines face unexpected network blockades.
- Customer Communication: Manage proactive "Keep Customer Informed" (KCI) delivery matrices to present delivery status insights clearly.
- Order Management: Handle end-to-end service orders from entry setups up to final configuration handover.
- Issue Management: Manage customer interactions and record reported issues in the ITSM tool.
- Troubleshooting: Identify issues, apply fixes, and investigate root causes using internal instructions.
- Technical Guidance: Provide guidance in identifying, prioritizing, and resolving problems via telephone and email.
- Diagnosis: Screen, refer, and diagnose internal inquiries and work requests relating to PC maintenance.
- Coordination: Act as a liaison between customers and departments to ensure maximum uptime for users.
- Advisory: Advise users on the interpretation of IT policies, capabilities, and limitations.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Must hold a regular B.E / B.Tech degree from a recognized university.
Experience: 0 to 1 year of foundational exposure inside Telecom, Network, or Internet Service Provider (ISP) domains. Fresh engineering graduates possessing strong communication and baseline networking concepts can easily apply.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Baseline structural awareness regarding telecom engineering standards, data networks, and routing protocols.
- Practical day-to-day familiarity working with standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Awareness of Microsoft Operating Systems (Local and Hybrid administration)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office family applications
Competencies:
- Fluent, high-impact verbal and written communication skills in English to comfortably handle international client queries.
- Demonstrable accountability, proactive ownership traits, and ability to coordinate tasks seamlessly with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
- Flexibility (willingness to work in shifts if required)
