Job Description

Tata Communications has opened applications for its off-campus recruitment drive, seeking candidates for the position of Engineer – Technology & Platform Development. This recruitment cycle targets both freshers and experienced professionals with 0 to 4 years of experience holding B.E, B.Tech, B.Sc, or BCA degrees. The selected candidates will join the operations and software development ecosystem at the Pune location. This is an operational role centered within the software development, testing, deployment, and debugging workflows. Selected candidates will collaborate within structured teams and receive appropriate guidance to achieve high-quality deliverables.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coding: Write effective, scalable, clean code and build comprehensive test cases.
  • Deployment: Debug software anomalies and securely deploy cloud/platform applications.
  • Support: Provide technical and operational support for the production environment to ensure system stability.
  • Planning: Prepare detailed software development calendars, roadmaps, and tracking metrics.
  • Reporting: Prepare analytics reports and performance dashboards outlining project time deviations, rework times, and sprint velocities.
  • Testing: Conduct regular development testing routines and report outstanding system issues to supervisors.
  • Bug Management: Identify, monitor, and track systemic software bugs, assessing their critical nature and executing systematic corrective actions.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Graduation/Degree in Computer Science and Engineering or a closely related technical field.

Experience: 0-4 Years of relevant engineering or technical experience (Open to freshers).

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Python, Python Automation Frameworks, Agile Methodology, and Pandas.
  • Java, Angular, JavaScript, and ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).

Competencies:

  • Strong structural and logical programming skills.
  • Familiarity with standard modern software applications, version control systems, and deployment tools.
  • Good working knowledge of standard coding frameworks and automated testing environments.
