Roles and Responsibilities
- Core Tax & Reporting Duties: Responsible for the overall management of the tax liabilities of Citi, both directly and in connection with transactions with clients. Contributes to the planning, accounting, filing, and reporting of tax liability of the company. Assists in determining and compiling information required to satisfy income tax filing and related requirements at all levels of jurisdiction. Manages payments to tax authorities in compliance with specific tax regulations. Directs small to medium-sized Finance operational/administrative teams of clerical or junior professional employees. Improves process efficiencies in harmony with unit focus.
- Control Compliance & Testing (Tax Information Reporting – TIR): Ensure adherence to ‘Minimum Control Design Requirements’ and ‘Control Design Adequacy & Operating Effectiveness’. Upload in-scope testing results into the Citi Enterprise Risk Management System. Review and assess large volumes of data to identify and justify inconsistencies or material deviations. Host consultations with Subject Matter Experts to gain consensus on standardising Operational Checklists. Manage Master Control Assessment obligations by preparing and facilitating Control Owner attestations. Attend project calls, articulate deliverables, and assign tasks to team members to implement corrective action plans. Ensure team members are suitably trained on Common Control testing obligations and workload is distributed evenly.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
