Job Description & Program Details:
The TCS Smart Hiring 2026 is designed to identify and nurture science graduates. Depending on your performance, you will be categorized into one of two streams:
- TCS Ignite (“Science to Software”):
- Focus: Trains you on trending technologies like AI, ML, Cloud, and VR.
- Benefits: Higher salary package, career trajectory similar to engineering graduates, and opportunities for higher education (MCA/M.Tech) with academic credit transfer.
- Selection: Requires high performance in the test, especially in the Coding Section.
- TCS Smart:
- Focus: Roles in Engineering support, Quality Assurance, Data Analytics, and IT Operations.
- Benefits: Strong foundation in IT processes, domain knowledge, and soft skills training.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Courses: Full-time BCA, B.Sc (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, CS, IT, Statistics, Data Science, Cyber Security, Biochemistry), or B.Voc in CS/IT.
- Percentage: Minimum 50% aggregate in Class 10th, 12th, and Graduation (all semesters).
- Backlogs: 2025 Batch: No pending backlogs; 2026 Batch: One active backlog allowed (must be cleared before joining).
- Gap: Overall academic gap should not exceed 2 years (24 months).
- Age: 18 to 28 years.
TCS Smart Hiring 2026 Test Pattern:
The test will be conducted in TCS iON centers and lasts for 120 Minutes.
- Section 1: Numerical Ability (Tests mathematical and quantitative skills.)
- Section 2: Verbal Ability (Tests English grammar and comprehension.)
- Section 3: Reasoning Ability (Tests logical thinking and problem-solving.)
- Section 4: Coding (Optional, required for Ignite selection. C/C++/Java/Python)
