Roles and Responsibilities
- Security Monitoring & Analysis: Assist in monitoring and analyzing security incidents and real-time event alerts to identify potential infrastructure threats.
- Security Implementation: Support the deployment and implementation of technical security measures to safeguard sensitive records and internal systems.
- Vulnerability Assessment: Participate under supervision in regular vulnerability assessments and structured penetration testing modules to pinpoint security weaknesses.
- Documentation: Help compile, update, and maintain security documentation, including system compliance policies, operating procedures, and incident logging reports.
- Collaboration: Collaborate actively with adjacent IT infrastructure groups to ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory best practices.
- Threat Intelligence: Stay current with evolving global cyber threats, zero-day vulnerabilities, and security trends to enhance the organization's overarching security posture.
- Audit Support: Provide data logging and administrative support during internal or external security audits and compliance assessments.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or closely related engineering fields.
Experience: 0 to 1 year of experience.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong conceptual knowledge of cybersecurity defense mechanisms, threat frameworks, and common security principles.
- Familiarity with enterprise security tools and defensive technologies (e.g., standard Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems [IDS/IPS], Antivirus software, and basic SIEM logging tools).
- Basic understanding of computer networking concepts, architecture layers, and standard protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
- Ability to accurately analyze and interpret security system logs, network alerts, and endpoint events.
Competencies:
- Excellent logical problem-solving skills coupled with deep attention to structural details.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in corporate English environment.
- Basic exposure or academic familiarity with standard security frameworks (e.g., NIST Cyber Security Framework, ISO 27001) (Preferred).
- Elementary knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for process automation (Preferred).
- Familiarity with foundational cloud security concepts and multi-tenant architectures (Preferred).
- Holding valid baseline certifications like CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or closely related technical credentials is an added advantage (Preferred).
- Relevant internships or specialized academic projects focused on information security or threat vectors (Preferred).
