Job Description

For the Johnson Controls Recruitment 2026 drive, the company is seeking a Tech-savvy Technical Support Specialist. The role involves providing telephone support for Johnson Controls’ range of intrusion security products (Hardware & Software). You will be a key player in the North America Technical Support Team.

In this role, you will respond to 30-40 customer calls daily, resolving issues within Service Level Agreement (SLA) times. You will troubleshoot application software and hardware products, provide feedback to managers, and assist with product evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to customer inquiries and technical issues via telephone (30-40 calls/day).
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues for brands like DSC, Visonic, and Qolsys.
  • Resolving issues within defined SLA times and providing effective communication to stakeholders.
  • Assisting with training, product evaluation, and occasional site visits.
  • Documenting customer interactions and feedback for R&D and product teams.
  • Working a standard Monday-Friday night shift (6:30 PM – 3:30 AM IST) to support North American markets.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Background: B.E/B.Tech, Diploma, or Associate Degree in a technical field.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Networking principles and Linux experience.
  • Troubleshooting: Experience dealing with hardware/software issues and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Work Ethics: Action-oriented, self-starter, and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Electronic Security (Intruder Systems) or languages like Italian, German, or Spanish is a plus.
