Job Description
For the Tejas Networks Recruitment 2026 drive, the company is seeking an Engineer to ensure software features meet standards and customer solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Telecommunication technologies (SDH/OTN/DWDM) and hands-on experience in EMS/NMS UI and API Testing. You will work closely with Network Engineering, Development, and Product Line Management teams to develop test cases and drive the execution of feature test plans. This role requires a blend of Java coding skills (specifically multithreading) and automation expertise using Python/Robot Framework.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Validation: Driving the execution of feature and functional test plans to validate product capabilities against standards.
- Test Development: Working closely with NE, Dev, and PLM teams to develop comprehensive test cases.
- Automation: Using open-source frameworks such as Robot, Py-Test, or Playwright for test automation.
- Customer Support: Supporting TAC and System Engineering teams for customer demos and field issues.
- Product Knowledge: Building in-depth knowledge of NMS (Network Management System) products.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.Tech/BE (CSE/ECE/EEE/IS) or any other equivalent degree.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience specifically from a Telecommunication or Networking background.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong coding skills in Core Java, especially multithreading.
- Working knowledge of SDH/OTN/DWDM/WSON technologies.
- Hands-on experience on FCAPS of OTN/DWDM.
- Experience in EMS/NMS UI and API Testing.
- Proficiency in Python and frameworks like Robot or Py-Test.
Competencies:
- Hands-on experience with test equipment like ANT, VIAVI.
- Understanding of Docker/K8s/Microservices architecture.
