Job Description
For the TESCO Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is looking for a Data Analyst to identify operational improvements and find solutions using Continuous Improvement (CI) tools. You will be responsible for manipulating large complex data sets and ensuring data integrity. The role involves engaging with market partners to translate business problems into analytical problems and creating self-service dashboards using Tableau. You will also contribute to the automation of repeatable tasks.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Data Analysis: Manipulating, analyzing, and synthesizing large complex data sets using SQL, Hive, and Hadoop.
- Visualization: Developing visualizations, self-service dashboards, and reports using Tableau.
- Problem Solving: Translating business problems into analytical problems and providing data-driven insights.
- Automation: Supporting the automation of repeatable tasks using Alteryx or Python.
- Collaboration: Engaging with stakeholders to understand needs and contributing to knowledge assets on GitHub/Wiki.
- Code Quality: Writing detailed, structured, and compute-efficient codes.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Basic skills in Advanced Excel, SQL, and Hive.
- Ability to develop visualizations using Tableau.
- Understanding of Basic Data Warehousing (DW) concepts on Hadoop and Teradata.
- Knowledge of Basic Statistical Concepts (Correlation Analysis, Hypothesis Testing).
Competencies:
- Automation skills using Alteryx or Python.
- Basic understanding of Business Decisions and processes.
- Ability to think beyond the ask and generate practical insights that drive decisions.
