Job Description
Texas Instruments (TI), a global semiconductor design and manufacturing company known for creating innovative analog and embedded processing chips, has released an official recruitment notification for Texas Instruments Recruitment 2026. TI is inviting online applications for the position of Software Database Engineer at its research and development center in Bangalore, Karnataka. This position is part of TI's Advanced Technology Development (ATD) Mask Technology and Pattern Generation (MTPG) team. Primary responsibilities involve designing database solutions, automation scripts, and custom software tools to streamline the MTPG workflow.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Software & Database Design: Design and develop new software tools, custom scripts, and database interfaces for use in the Pattern Generation (PG) process.
- Technical Coordination: Participate in coordinated technical efforts within the ATD-MTPG team to ensure consistent application of software engineering methodologies and best practices.
- Efficiency Improvement: Implement and drive continuous efficiency improvements and workflow enhancements across development methodologies.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional semiconductor and technology development teams to support critical path operations.
- Maintenance: Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain database scripts and tooling infrastructure.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree (B.E / B.Tech) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
Experience: Freshers / Experienced.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated proficiency in core software development principles.
- Advanced programming and scripting experience with PERL, Ruby, Oracle, and Unix Shell.
Competencies:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to balance multiple critical-path and time-sensitive tasks regularly.
- Understanding of the basics of semiconductor mask design and general knowledge regarding the use of masks in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Familiarity or experience with the Cadence design environment (schematic & layout).
