Job Description
This position is part of TI's Advanced Technology Development (ATD) Mask Technology and Pattern Generation (MTPG) team. Primary responsibilities involve designing database solutions, automation scripts, and custom software tools to streamline the MTPG workflow. This role is open to both freshers and experienced professionals who have strong core software development skills and proficiency in scripting languages.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and develop new software tools, custom scripts, and database interfaces for use in the Pattern Generation (PG) process.
- Participate in coordinated technical efforts within the ATD-MTPG team to ensure consistent application of software engineering methodologies and best practices.
- Implement and drive continuous efficiency improvements and workflow enhancements across development methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional semiconductor and technology development teams to support critical path operations.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain database scripts and tooling infrastructure.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree (B.E / B.Tech) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
Experience: Freshers / Experienced (No prior professional work experience required for freshers).
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated proficiency in core software development principles.
Competencies:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to balance multiple critical-path and time-sensitive tasks regularly.
- Understanding of the basics of semiconductor mask design and general knowledge regarding the use of masks in semiconductor manufacturing (preferred).
- Familiarity or experience with the Cadence design environment (schematic & layout) (preferred).
- Advanced programming and scripting experience with PERL, Ruby, Oracle, and Unix Shell (preferred).
