Job Description

As a Full Stack Developer at Toprankers in Bengaluru, you will work across the complete software development lifecycle, from designing and developing application features to testing, deployment, optimization, and maintenance. The role requires understanding both frontend (JavaScript/TypeScript, modern frameworks) and backend development (Node.js, Express.js, Python/Django, Java/Spring, or PHP). You will also work with databases, APIs, microservices, version control, and potentially cloud and DevOps technologies, developing scalable applications for a digital learning platform serving over 3 million aspirants.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Full Stack Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable web applications; develop and maintain backend and frontend application components.
  • API Integration: Build and integrate APIs to support application functionality.
  • Technology Stack: Work with technologies such as Node.js, Python, JavaScript, or PHP.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers to understand requirements; work with designers and engineers to deliver user-focused features.
  • Performance & Scalability: Optimize application performance and responsiveness; build applications that can scale as the number of users and workloads increase.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and testable code; follow software development best practices; participate in code reviews.
  • DevOps & Debugging: Contribute to continuous integration and development workflows; debug application issues and identify root causes.
  • Database Management: Work with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 0–1 years of hands-on full-stack development experience.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with modern frameworks (Frontend).
  • Knowledge of Node.js and Express.js or similar frameworks (Backend).
  • Understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL (API Development).
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB (Databases).
  • Familiarity with Git (Version Control).
  • Understanding of Agile development practices (Methodology).

Competencies:

  • Exposure to Python/Django, Java/Spring, or PHP is an advantage (Alternative Backend).
  • Basic understanding of microservices architecture (Architecture).
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus (DevOps/Cloud).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, debugging, and communication skills (Soft Skills).
