Job Description
As a Transportation Representative at Amazon, you will be part of the TOC, Amazon’s central command and control hub for transportation execution across the Supply Chain network. Your role is to ensure seamless freight movement from vendor pick-up through fulfillment center delivery. This involves serving as a bridge between external partners and internal teams, extracting and analyzing data from multiple databases using Excel, Access, SQL, and other tools to deliver ad hoc reports. You will also develop, track, and interpret key metrics, systematically escalate problems, and deliver exceptional real-time customer support in a fast-paced, high-performance virtual environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the bridge between external partners (carriers, vendors, suppliers) and internal teams (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers).
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Extract and analyze data from multiple databases using Excel, Access, SQL, and other tools to deliver ad hoc reports that drive decisions.
- Performance Metrics: Develop, track, and interpret key metrics to improve business outcomes.
- Issue Escalation & Resolution: Systematically escalate problems to the right owners and drive follow-through to resolution.
- Real-Time Customer Support: Deliver exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Experience: Freshers / Experienced
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps, data modeling)
- Knowledge of Windows desktop environments and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word)
Competencies:
- Core Competencies: Foundational understanding of logistics and supply chain operations, combined with the ability to work proactively, independently, and effectively under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style.
- Preferred Locations: Mode of joining is Virtual (WFH) in these 10 preferred locations: Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Maharashtra.
