Job Description
Volvo Group is actively hiring for the role of Graduate Apprentice Trainee for the Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) team in Bangalore, under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). This prestigious opportunity is for Freshers (B.E / B.Tech) with a strong interest in Embedded Systems and proficiency in programming languages like C, C++, Java, or Python. You will assist in developing and maintaining software solutions for heavy machinery, working under the supervision of senior developers, participating in the full software development life cycle (SDLC), from coding and debugging to testing and documentation. A strong willingness to learn new technologies in the domain of Embedded Systems is essential.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Software Development: Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications using Java, Python, C, or C++.
- Testing: Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing activities.
- Version Control: Use Git for code check-in, branching, and merging.
- Project Management: Monitor and report task progress through tools like JIRA.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and attend technical/soft skills training mandated under the NATS program.
- Documentation: Document code, modules, and technical workflows as per project standards.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or relevant engineering discipline from an AICTE/UGC recognized institution. Must be a fresh graduate eligible for the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme.
Experience: Freshers (no prior apprenticeship experience).
