Job Description
For the Volvo Off Campus Drive 2026, the Supply Chain and Purchasing division is looking for a Graduate Apprentice Trainee to drive digitalization. This role serves as a bridge between technology and manufacturing, focusing heavily on Supply Chain Management (SCM). You will play a critical role in supporting the digital transformation of the Purchasing Process. This involves building supplier dashboards, automating workflows using Power Platform and RPA technologies, performing deep-dive data analysis (like ABC and 80/20 analysis), and providing technical support for supplier integration.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Digital Transformation: Support digitalization in the Purchasing Process, including autonomous maintenance of Handler Logs, Order Management, and Priority Aftermarket Requisitions.
- Dashboard Creation & Analytics: Create comprehensive Supplier Dashboards and perform various analyses for buyers and managers (e.g., Price Inconsistency, 80/20 Analysis, ABC Analysis, Volume trend Analysis, Material Cost Levels, Supplier Spend Analysis).
- Supplier Integration: Support buyers with Supplier Integration—establishing EDI Connections, granting Supplier Portal Access, and managing Parma Code creations/deletions.
- Data Management: Provide Taxonomy and Segmentation support to buyers and segment owners, and maintain various department dashboards and reports.
- Process Improvement: Drive a continuous improvement and excellence mindset, identifying areas where automation and digital tools can streamline SCM workflows.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Fresh graduates with a university degree in B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science (CS), Information Science (IS), or Information Technology (IT).
Experience: Only candidates from the 2024 and 2025 passing batches with a minimum of 65% CGPI are eligible.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong familiarity with Power BI, Power Platform , and related digital transformation tools.
- Understanding of Robotic Process Automation ( RPA ) and similar automation technologies.
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Advanced Excel Programming .
