Job Description
For the Wipro Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is looking for a Software Engineer I whose primary purpose is to design, develop, and troubleshoot solutions, models, and simulations based on client project requirements. This role leans heavily into Model-Based Engineering. You will work extensively with design software (CAD/CAE) to develop appropriate models, test prototypes, and run boundary condition checks such as impact and stress analysis. The role also requires close collaboration with clients to provide optimized virtual simulation solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design & Modeling: Working on CAD and CAE software to develop appropriate models as per the project plan and customer requirements.
- Prototyping & Testing: Creating prototypes based on engineering drawings, testing designs, and checking boundary conditions (stress/impact analysis).
- Failure Analysis: Performing Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for any new requirements received from the client.
- Simulation: Providing optimized solutions by running simulations in a virtual environment.
- Integration: Integrating software components into a fully functional system and deploying programs.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing systems with minimum latency, as well as defect fixing for integration teams.
- Documentation: Maintaining a repository of all design changes, time-sheets, and providing written knowledge transfer/history of the project.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.E / B.Tech in a relevant engineering field (Mechanical, Automobile, Aerospace, or related fields are often preferred for CAD/CAE roles).
Experience: Freshers are eligible to apply.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Computer-Aided Design ( CAD ) and Computer-Aided Engineering ( CAE )
- Familiarity with simulation environments and boundary condition testing
- Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and FMEA
