Job Description
Zycus Off Campus Drive 2026 is offering an internship opportunity for candidates who completed their degree in 2026 and are interested in enterprise IT support and IT operations. The company is hiring for the position of IT Support Engineer – Intern in Bangalore. Candidates with a B.E/B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field can apply. The role is designed for early-career candidates and involves supporting day-to-day IT operations across Windows and macOS endpoints. The internship provides practical exposure to application installation, endpoint troubleshooting, connectivity issues, software deployment, ticket management, patch management and software compliance. Candidates will also assist with documenting standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides. A distinctive requirement for this opportunity is hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT or similar tools for technical assistance and problem-solving. Candidates should be comfortable using AI to investigate technical issues while applying appropriate judgment to the results. The role also provides exposure to Microsoft Entra ID, ITSM tools, software packaging and automation workflows. Knowledge of PowerShell or shell scripting and Microsoft fundamentals certifications can provide an additional advantage.
Roles and Responsibilities
- IT Operations Support: Support day-to-day IT operations across Windows and macOS endpoints.
- User Issue Resolution: Help resolve user issues.
- Ticket Management: Manage support tickets (triage and resolution tracking using Freshservice or similar ITSM tool).
- Application Support: Assist with installing, updating and uninstalling applications on Windows and macOS endpoints; troubleshoot common operating-system, application and connectivity problems reported by end users.
- Endpoint Troubleshooting: Endpoint troubleshooting, connectivity issues.
- Software Deployment: Assist with software deployment.
- Patch Management: Assist with patch management.
- Software Compliance: Assist with software compliance.
- Documentation: Assist with documenting standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides.
- IT Project Coordination: Contribute to internal IT projects.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.E/B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (2026 Batch).
Experience: 0–1 year. Working knowledge of Windows and macOS is required. Candidates should be comfortable working hands-on in macOS environments. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID is required.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Windows support (basic administration and troubleshooting, software installation, system settings, application troubleshooting and common operating-system issues)
- macOS support (hands-on comfort, supporting applications and users, troubleshooting operating-system and connectivity problems)
- Application installation and endpoint support (understanding software installation processes and basic troubleshooting)
- Technical Troubleshooting (structured approach to identify the cause of a problem, determine appropriate solution and document the outcome)
- Microsoft Entra ID (basic concepts such as user identities, authentication, groups, access and account management)
- IT Service Management and Ticketing (support-ticket triage and resolution tracking using Freshservice or a similar ITSM tool)
- Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT or similar tools for technical assistance and problem-solving
Competencies:
- Strong communication, documentation and problem-solving skills
- Microsoft fundamentals certification such as MS-900, SC-900 or AZ-900 (Preferred)
- Basic scripting knowledge using PowerShell or shell scripting (Preferred)
- Exposure to enterprise IT support practices (Preferred)
- Interest in automation and IT operations (Preferred)
